South Sands Hotel - Salcombe

On arrival the room was perfect.

Recommend this hotel, I would stay here again. The venue is pleasant and nestled in an absolutely fantastic building. It has a great bar and accommodating and exceptional staff. It offers delicious breakfasts and has an excellent restaurant.

Tbh, had a such wonderful stay with our last visit in 2017. The breakfast was fresh, had lots of options. The bus stop was 10 minutes' walk away.

The sea view was amazing, especially from our room during sunset. The overall atmosphere was super relaxing.

I had a fine stay here, especially enjoying the beautiful breakfast and the delicious Devon Cream tea. The sea views from my room were amazing, making it an lovely experience!

In a fantastic location with fine views of the beach, the meal quality at breakfast was excellent, with generous portions. The room was cramped and didn't meet expectations for the price, and while the staff were friendly, the dinner menu felt underwhelming, offering typical pub fare that lacked creativity.

Staying for a short family getaway was just what we needed. The location was absolutely beautiful, and we loved waking up to the sound of waves rolling in. The coastal paths nearby offered stunning views, and the breakfast menu had something to please everyone. A highlight was definitely dining on the beach, which added a special touch to our evenings.

We loved the fine views from our Superior Double Room and the dog-friendly vibe! The local art collection was a lovely touch, and having a fridge in the room was super handy. Plus, the relaxing beach access was exactly what we needed after a long day exploring.

Staying in a Beautiful Double Room with Sea View, the beach was literally at the doorstep. The freshly cooked breakfast featured excellent quality produce, and the staff were notably friendly and accommodating. The occasional dog smell reminded us of the hotel's pet-friendly nature, and the narrow lanes surrounding the hotel require careful navigation when driving.

The New England style decor gave me warm, coastal vibes as inviting as a friendly hug. The bright, airy lounge areas are perfect for seniors to relax and safely enjoy fine beach views.

great view but slight noise issues

Cleanliness and character of the superior double room exceeded my expectations. The staff were attentive and cute.

There were occasional noise disturbances from the bar area during the evening.

The Superior Double Room was spacious and nicely decorated. That bed was super comfy, really helped with relaxation after a long day. Views of the beach were fine, and the room was kept super clean throughout our stay. Also loved the little welcome pack for our dog!
